The purpose of the Association is to promote the science of psychology and spread the knowledge of psychology throughout Greece as well as internationally. Other goals are to support the communication of scientific progress among psychologists as well as promoting psychological scientific knowledge and experiences in society as a whole.

To achieve the above objectives, the Association has the following means at its disposal: The organization of conferences, workshops, and continuing education courses, the publication of books and journals, the organization of public lectures, meetings, and discussions.  It also supports its members by facilitating scientific and research cooperation among them and by cooperating with other scientific societies and institutions within the border of Greece as well as outside.
